Scope of Work

- Main Switchboard Replacement: Complete removal and replacement of the existing 1500A Main Switchboard with advanced electrical distribution equipment, providing enhanced safety features, improved operational efficiency, and expanded capacity to support Cochlear’s growing manufacturing requirements.
- Energex Transformer Installation: Supply and installation of a new 1500kVA Energex Transformer, significantly increasing the site’s electrical capacity and providing the robust power infrastructure necessary to support sophisticated medical device manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments.
- Synchronised Generator Integration: Implementation of dual 800kVA generators with advanced synchronisation technology, engineered to automatically transfer power supply when electrical load exceeds 1000A, ensuring continuous power availability for critical manufacturing operations and preventing any disruption to production schedules.
- Live Operations Management: Execution of all electrical upgrades with zero disruption to live manufacturing operations, utilising sophisticated temporary power solutions and carefully coordinated cutover procedures to maintain continuous production of essential medical devices throughout the project duration.
- Medical Manufacturing Compliance: All electrical work completed in strict accordance with medical device manufacturing standards and cleanroom requirements, ensuring the facility maintains its certification for producing life-critical hearing implant technology.
