Ben Casey Promoted to Operations Manager
In response to our expanding workload and dedication to excellence, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Casey to the role of Operations Manager. Ben, who has been a crucial part of our team as a Project Manager, will now oversee site operations, quality control, project schedules, and mentor our project team.
His extensive experience in electrical contracting and communications contracting, coupled with his commitment, ensures that we will continue to deliver top-notch performance and service for project services across various sectors, including mechanical HVAC systems, mechanical services, data and communications solutions, and asset management.
Welcoming Hobie Pegg as New Project Manager
To fill Ben’s previous role, we warmly welcome Hobie Pegg as our new Project Manager. With over 12 years of industry expertise, including his role as an Electrical Supervisor, Hobie brings valuable experience in technical support, scheduling, quoting, and project oversight. His background in communications contractor roles and commercial HVAC will be instrumental as he focuses on all industries and trades that GAP Industries specialises in, including the defence industry and supply chains.
Hobie’s approach to strategic planning, effective communication, and continuous improvement will drive high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction, benefiting areas such as the Southeast Queensland region, North Queensland, and specific locales like Townsville, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Ipswich, and Moreton Bay.

1. What roles or positions did you hold before joining GAP Industries?
Before joining GAP Industries, I worked as an Electrical Supervisor. In this role, I was responsible for managing daily operations, including technical support, scheduling, quoting, and overseeing various projects.

At GAP Industries, I will be offering Project Management services for projects across Southeast Queensland, covering all trades that GAP Industries specialises in.

4. Can you highlight any significant achievements or projects from your previous roles that are relevant to your new position?
One notable achievement was my visit to the US, where I gained insights from various businesses and their operations. Additionally, I led the complete retrofit and refurbishment of Charleville Hospital, a project that showcased my ability to manage complex and large-scale undertakings.
5. Do you have any specialisations within the industry?
I specialise in end-to-end project management, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
