The day started early with hands-on training and a strong team focus at the latest Quarterly Training & Toolbox Day at GAP Industries Southeast Queensland. Held at our facility with over 20 crew members in attendance, the event strengthened our approach to safety, practical learning, and delivery excellence.
From CPR training to tool demonstrations, the day helped ensure our staff stay current, capable, and prepared for what’s ahead.

A Morning Designed for Connection and Capability
The day kicked off with a team breakfast and coffee service from Lady Luck Espresso, proudly brought to site by Cetnaj Slacks Creek. It was a great way to start the morning with good energy and a relaxed atmosphere.
Toolbox Talk and Technical Briefings
Our field supervisors and project managers led the Toolbox Talk, covering site safety, communication protocols, and updates on current projects. This was followed by focused LVR (Low Voltage Rescue) and CPR refresher training, delivered by the experienced team at Paradise First Aid.
These sessions help team members meet industry safety standards and maintain essential certifications.
Product Demonstrations and Equipment Testing
Partners from Repelec and Fluke joined us on site to showcase the latest in safety gear, diagnostic tools, and testing equipment. Technicians were able to try out the tools and ask practical questions.
Another practical highlight of the day was live calibration testing, completed in partnership with ME Test Equipment, ensuring all gear is ready for safe and accurate use on-site.
The Value of Ongoing Training in Critical Sectors
Industries like defence, healthcare, and government demand the highest levels of safety, compliance, and readiness. At GAP Industries, we know that keeping our team trained and up to date is not optional. It’s essential.
CPR and LVR competencies, electrical testing accuracy, and knowledge of evolving tools are vital for delivering services in regulated environments. By keeping certifications current and skills sharp, we ensure safer work sites and higher standards for our clients.
Strengthening Team Culture and Retention
Quarterly sessions like this also play a major role in strengthening internal connection. They provide space for supervisors, project managers, and tradespeople to align expectations, strengthen communication, and share insights.
This shared investment in learning builds trust across roles, boosts morale, and supports long-term retention of skilled talent, key to delivering consistent outcomes across Queensland.
Building Capability for the Long Term
With more than 20 skilled professionals now part of our Southeast Queensland operations, the expansion of GAP Industries has strengthened our service capacity across key industries. Toolbox Days like this one help transform that growth into meaningful, ongoing development.
Our staff development directly reflects in the quality of work we deliver. Sessions like these help keep our crew coordinated, well-prepared, and committed to high standards.
