Placing a never-before Test Lab building on a challenging patch of land within the Barracks presented unique logistical challenges. However, GAP Industries seized this opportunity and efficiently tackled the hurdles.

To enhance the site and meet the demands of the Test Lab, we collaborated with Energex to upgrade the power supply to a robust 400A capacity. Simultaneously, new fibre uplinks were meticulously spliced end to end, ensuring optimal connectivity and performance for the Test Lab.

Recognising the importance of safeguarding our clients’ hardware and future-proofing the building, we offered comprehensive Lightning Protection. This measure included the installation of 14 Air Terminals, 600m of continuous strapping, and almost 20m of earthing electrodes. These measures were carefully implemented to ensure that any potential lightning strike would bypass the invaluable test instruments, preserving their functionality and reliability.
