HV and LV Upgrade Works in Virginia

GAP Industries delivered the works for Sharpe Engineering in Virginia, a commercial and industrial locality in Brisbane’s north.

The project required coordination between site electrical requirements, supply authority processes, electrical design input and low voltage distribution works. This type of upgrade supports facilities where power distribution, network connection requirements and electrical capacity need to be planned together.

The works brought together high voltage infrastructure, low voltage distribution, distributor coordination and switchboard installation activity within one electrical upgrade pathway.

Scope of Works Delivered

PMT and High Voltage Upgrade Works

GAP Industries delivered PMT related and high voltage upgrade works associated with the site’s electrical infrastructure requirements.

This part of the scope supported the network side of the upgrade, where supply arrangements, distributor coordination and upstream electrical infrastructure needed to be considered before site delivery could progress.

Low Voltage Electrical Upgrade Works

GAP Industries delivered low voltage upgrade works as part of the site distribution component.

The low voltage scope supported the connection between supply infrastructure and electrical systems serving the facility. This work formed part of a broader upgrade pathway across supply, distribution and site power requirements.

Main Switchboard Drop and Installation

GAP Industries completed main switchboard drop and installation activity for Sharpe Engineering in Virginia.

Main switchboards form the central distribution point for power within a facility. For this project, the switchboard works supported the site’s power distribution requirements within the broader electrical upgrade context.

Energex Application Support

The project included Energex application support.

This connected the site’s electrical upgrade requirements with the local electricity distributor’s application process. Supply upgrades and high voltage infrastructure works require clear technical information, design intent and coordination between project stakeholders.

Electrical Design Support

Electrical design support formed part of the project scope.

For PMT, HV and LV upgrade works, design input helps align network requirements, site distribution needs, equipment coordination and documentation. This supported a more controlled pathway from application and planning through to delivery.

Network, Switchboard and Design Coordination

The project required coordination across supply authority processes, PMT related infrastructure, high voltage works, low voltage distribution and main switchboard installation activity.

Commercial and industrial sites often require this level of planning when electrical demand changes, supply arrangements need review or site distribution infrastructure requires upgrade.

For Sharpe Engineering, GAP Industries supported the upgrade pathway through technical coordination, design input and practical electrical project delivery.

Safety and Quality Controls

GAP Industries operates under ISO 9001 quality management processes, supporting planning, delivery, documentation and review across electrical infrastructure projects.

For this project, quality controls supported design coordination, safe work planning, distributor interface requirements and project documentation.

The works required disciplined coordination because the project involved supply authority processes, PMT related infrastructure, high voltage works, low voltage distribution and switchboard installation activity within a commercial and industrial setting.

Delivery Value for Sharpe Engineering

The completed works supported a structured electrical infrastructure upgrade for Sharpe Engineering in Virginia QLD.

By combining PMT related works, HV and LV upgrades, Energex application support, electrical design input and main switchboard installation activity, GAP Industries helped align network requirements with site power distribution needs.

The project provided a coordinated electrical upgrade pathway for a commercial and industrial facility in Southeast Queensland.
